To register for classes, you may call us at 512-302-4324, or use our registration form.
You can read about all the different kinds of dance lessons we offer, or browse answers to frequently asked questions for more information. If you still have questions, feel free to call us anytime, or contact us by e-mail.
Rates and discounts
| 1-week, 2-hour classes: | $20/person | ($35/couple) |
| 4-week, 2-hour classes: | $48/person | ($80/couple) |
| 5-week, 2-hour classes: | $60/person | ($100/couple) |
The couples discount is applied to any two dancers who help balance the class by registering and dancing together. Unless specfically mentioned, you do not need to have a partner when you sign up for a class. We often change partners in class.
Most group classes meet for two hours, one night each week, for four weeks. Payment by cash or check is not due until the first night of class.
One-day workshops are usually held Saturday evenings from 5 to 7pm, or 7 to 9pm.
Private lessons cost $60/hour and must be scheduled to take place before 7pm Monday or Tuesday.
January 2009 dance classes in Austin
Sundays, January 4 - 25th (four weeks)
| 1-3 pm (2 hr): | Beginning Night Club Slow Dance |
| 3-5 pm (2 hr): | Beginning Ballroom Waltz & Foxtrot |
| 5-6 pm (1 hr): | Open Dance Practice, free to current, former and prospective students, and their guests! |
| 6-7 pm (1 hr): | Team Dance Practice: Join the fun! Learn our 4 current routines (East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Two Step, Cha-Cha) and participate in the creation of new ones (Tango, Triple Two Step) as a way to take your dancing to a higher level. No one is required to perform, but opportunities are there for those interested in doing so. |
Mondays, January 5 - 26th (four weeks)
| 7-9 pm (2 hr): | Two Step, Level 5. Now is the time to join us as we go back to Level 5 to re-visit our Two Step dance skills, and convert all our moves to Triple Two Step. Instructor's permission is required to join this class! |
January 2009 workshops in Austin
Workshops will be taught on Saturday, January 17th, 2009, from 5-7 pm and 7-9 pm. The cost for each workshop is $35/couple, $20/single. Partners are not required.

| 7-9 pm (2 hr): | Advanced West Coast Swing Review Class |
You must register in advance for either workshop, to get Instructor Approval. Both these workshops are limited to students who have taken the most recent Waltz and/or West Coast Swing classes with Valerie.
January 2009 special events
Valerie's high school dance students are hosting the Christian College Preparatory Academy's 2nd Annual Winter Dance Recital at 7pm on Saturday, January 31, 2009. For a $5 cover charge, join us at the Ascension Lutheran Church at 6420 Hart Lane to watch the students perform line dances, social lead-follow dancing, second-year student solos, and choreographed team performances. Refreshments will be provided, and the floor will open for general dancing upon conclusion of the recital.
The schedule for February 2009 classes should be posted to this site by mid January.
